Farmer markets, nature trails, tasty cakes, working mill tour and fun for all the family await on this June Bank Holiday weekend. Make the most of the long weekend by immersing yourself in some lovely foodie experiences across the Boyne Valley with plenty to see & do and you will also get to meet some of the local producers along the way!
On Saturday 4th June 2022
The Cottage Market Drogheda is set in the beautiful setting of St Peters Church of Ireland, Parish Hall Drogheda, from 11 - 4pm.
With over 30 local food and craft stalls including homegrown, homemade and handcrafted delights available on the day. This Saturday this is a Sketchy People meet up, Gut Health demonstration, cool sounds and great company! Eircode: A92 XP84
The Sheridan's Cheesemongers Shop & Farmers Market from 10am-2pm. Call in and discover a plethora of local food and drinks producers, including butchers, grocers, bakers, fish mongers and lots more. Of course, you can also stock up on lots of delicious cheese and pantry supplies in Sheridan's onsite shop. When you are finished your shopping, grab a coffee and a pastry, and relax on one of the many picnic benches. Eircode: A82 PC42
Killua Castle Ground & Deer Park – Enjoy a walk around the historic castle in the most romantic demesne in Ireland, with links to Sir Walter Raleigh and Lawrence of Arabia. Walk the grounds, which are home to the Killua Castle Venison and other rare breed animals from 10am-4pm. Guided tours also available but booking is required via their website. Eircode: C15 EWF2
Merci Beaucoup Cake Creations is a beautiful bakery which is run by a husband and wife team Jérémy and Alona. They specialize in French patisserie, pastries, cheesecakes & more delicious products. Meet the producers at their Pop-up Shop in Ardee, County Louth, grab a coffee and have a chat while you are there. Opened Saturdays 10-4pm. Eircode: A92 NY6H
Boyne Valley Tasting Dinner @ The Station House Hotel Kilmessan
The Station House Hotel will host their next Boyne Valley Tasting Dinner Event on Saturday, 4th June 2022, in their Signal Restaurant.  Enjoy 7-8 courses of delectably cooked Boyne Valley & Irish cuisine, paired with a selection of new & old wines from their cellar, carefully curated by their in-house sommelier. Dinner €80 per person (€120 with drinks)

Café Talitu & Car Boot Sale at Teltown House Enjoy some homemade treats, tasty teas, coffees, and hot chocolate, while walking around the pleasant surroundings of the old gardens, Fairy Trail, Queen Maeve’s Road, and the medieval ruined church and burial ground. This weekend they are hosting a Summer Car Boot Fair, Sun 5th June. Sell your wares or pick up a bargain in the courtyard. Eircode: C15 X302
Beewise Nature Trail is a great family fun day around a five-acre woodland nature trail. Learn about the flowers & plants that the bees work to produce their delicious honey. See and learn the process of making the honey and taste the different types of honey they produce here at Bee Wise. Opened from 11am-4pm and booking is required via their website. Eircode: C15 X62D

Corderry Fruit Farm pick your own strawberries on our family run farm based in Knockbridge, Co. Louth from 11 – 4pm (last entry is 3.30pm). Make sure to stop by our shop for other fresh pre-picked fruit and local products including Honey & Apple Juice.  Feel free to bring along a picnic an sit in our picnic area. Eircode: A91N62R

On Monday 6th June  
Martry Mill is a fully functional watermill on the River Blackwater, with the earliest records dating back to 1641. In 1859 the Tallon family took over the mill and have been running it ever since. The current owner, James, is the fourth generation of Tallon men to run the mill. On Monday 6th June they are hosting an open day which includes a tour, bread tasting, tea or coffee and a 2kg pack of flour. A day not to be missed! Tours run at 10am, 12 noon, 2pm & 4pm and last approx. 2hrs. Cost: €10 per person, u12's go free. Eircode: A82 HP93
